1916-Farr:24 Medium size. Pure white crown, sulphur-white collar, no crimson flecks. Fragrant. Vigorous grower, medium height, very free bloomer. Early. Extra-good commercial variety, two days later than Festiva maxima. Distinct from Duchesse de Nemours (Gr.) which is a clear violet, lilac center, and is generally confused with Edulis superba....
